April 24-26, 2019 We Have Been Wyatt-ized.

April 24-26, 2019
The second week of Camp KK&PaPa has officially closed.
Different from the first week, Wednesday-Friday was merely a day camp.
Oh, don't let that word 'merely' fool you! πŸ˜€
This 3.9yr old has more stamina and endless energy than most marathon runners!

His infectious laughter is contagious.

His appetite for a variety of foods is incredible..... especially chocolate milk that resembles coffee HAHA

Excitement, quickness, gusto, zest, passion , enthusiasm .........
Our 'continuous motion' days started at 7:45AM and ended at 4:45PM.
Each day was action-packed.
Wednesday included archery 101(bow hand-made by PaPa)

And of course, when no one was watching......

Spring cleaning, and tree-house painting were included in the day's activities.

It's a good thing there was no paint on that brush when Cousin Craig stopped by for a visit!

You know, a big fat ball of yarn goes a long, long ways...... Click on video below to view the 'boobie traps' he made.

And in the video below, check out the homemade rocket πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€
No special skills are required to be a grandparent......... just lots of love.
A good night's sleep helps, though!
And if you don't get a good night's sleep, perhaps a bit of Zen rock.

Thursday's camp itinerary included a brief trip to HAPPY HOLLOW GARDENS. If you have never been to this secret garden... GO! Bees, butterflies, hidden paths, trails, picnic facilities, and the breath-taking azaleas!(the pollen was also in full forceπŸ˜‰)

The gardens were nice, but nothing beats FISHING........
NOTHING.

I'm not sure, but I think this was Wyatt's first fishing expedition. It will be remembered by those few fishermen who left the scene soon after we arrived.

Friday's activities included a trip to KIDS SQUARE. Wyatt has frequented this jewel many times. It never disappoints.

Watch out world.
These kids are S.M.A.R.T.
They are eager to learn new things.
They crave your undivided attention.
They want your love and affection.
Stay tuned for:
CampKK&Papa Spring Break 2020.
T-shirts will be provided! πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€

April 19, 2019 Happy Easter and Happy Birthday to Y'all!

Friday, April 19, 2019
Ron and I survived Spring Break Camp KK&PaPa 😁😁😁
Camp began last Sunday, and ended Friday evening celebrating birthdays, Easter, springbreak, Mother's Day, baby shower, and any other holiday that we could combine.
Rare are the occasions where our adult children, their mates, their children, can all be together
under one roof. There were 4 MIA's in the photo above, but we will catch them on the next event!
The tables were set, and the food was prepared!

The cousins were eager to entertain each other!

And the indoor Easter egg hunt was a success! The rain didn't stop this crew!

My very own personalized Easter egg!😘😘

We celebrated 5 birthdays.......... Ron (April 23rd), Abby (April 29), Katelyn (May 4), Lauren (May14), and Sarah (Feb 5). HAPPY BIRTHDAY Y'ALL!!!
The cards and presents were opened.

The laughter was contagious.

Love was in the air!

Until next time...
Easter Blessings!

April 18, 2019 Camp KK and Papa 2019 Day#4

Thursday April 18, 2019
Dear Mom and Dad,
Yes, we really were 'ALLOWED' a little bit of free time.

But we had to get up early, and be real quiet! (because we knew that after KK and Papa had their coffee, it would be ZOOM ZOOM ZOOM 😍😍😍
Our first new adventure took place near the hospital...... RIDING THE TROLLEY!
It was FREE!
We missed the first bus, but that was OK, because we ran around the block and climbed trees!

We boarded the bus, and off we went to the city market!

We were not on the trolley long, but passed by the following stops!
Star Line Trolley πŸ‘ˆ (click on highlighted link to see map).
Our first destination was the Roanoke City Market
Thanks KK and Papa for letting us have ice cream before lunch!

No visits to the market are allowed without a quick bite of comfort food at the famous Roanoke Weiner Stand!

The market area has so much to see!

On our way home, we got to pull the string, that rang the bell, that let the driver know we wanted to get off of the bus at the next stop!KK and Pap told us that the bus was their mode of transportation when they were growing up 😬😬😬

Our next stop, after we got off of the bus, was to the parkway.

And then to the Roanoke Mountain Campground . Because it was not spring break in this area, we had the entire place to ourselves........ Boy did we have fun!

We brought our scooters with us! What a great place to ride!

Roanoke has some awesome parks.
We went to soooooooo many of them.
Our favorite was Smith Park.
It is beside the Roanoke River Greenway and Wiley Drive.....very close to KK and Papa's house.

It has been another action packed day, and we are ready to go back to KK and Papa's house, and get a bath and GO TO BED!
