The
Chestnut Ridge Trail never disappoints.
Within walking distance of our home, today we enjoyed the wide open spaces of nature.
AND.... we had a little companion with us!💓
What boy doesn't love to climb trees?
Papa and his little buddy led the way, while I trailed behind.
Our little buddy was exceptionally inquisitive..... and easily entertained!
We stopped a few times for berry identification!(Yummy)😃
Walking sticks were a 'must'.
Stopping for a photo shoot was also a 'must". HA
Today's adventure in this neck of the woods was our little buddy's first, but probably not the last, hiking extravaganza.
No tree trunks nor fallen limbs were left untouched.
The Roanoke Mountain Campground area was also a success for these grandparents!😃😃😃
