June 19-26, 2021 LitchfieldByTheSea Vacation

"The beach is where we remember how to shine, how to shed our shells, how to reduce speed." Shine like the sun. In the end, we only regret the vacations that we didn't take!

What a change of pace! and what a special week it was to be able to spend one-on-one with daughter #3, SIL, and Grandson!  Obviously, from the photo above, I was able to embrace my frizzy hair😂. The week went by way too fast, but in the end, we all were refreshed, rejuvenated and energized.
For reasons unbeknown to me, the first obligatory photos upon arrival to this special retreat always scream.......... 'ahhhhhhh..... we are here!'
WATER......SAND

The excitement of our first vacation in a LONG time was finally a reality. Our reservations were made in early January, and we held our breath that, like last year, vacation would not be cancelled. We packed light, but included books, puzzles, bikes, food, and of course... my camera(because the full moon at the beach would be a 'must' to capture!)
Litchfield-By-The-Sea , our home for the week, was the perfect spot to begin our week of miles biking/running trails, which lead to Murrells Inlet.

After a few hours of 'beaching it' on Monday, my photog buddy/sidekick/assistant learned how to take his first moon shot! He was mesmerized!

Wednesday was a solid beach day!

By Wednesday evening, we were a bit toasty, and ready to watch the full Strawberry full moon rise.....(we are such party animals, and it doesn't take a lot to excite us  😂😁😍)

It was an extraordinarily beautiful moon, though, and watching it rise above the ocean was special!

The complex, where we rented, included a pool.... and this guy made the best of it!

The rainbow after a storm was a jaw-dropper!
Thursday evening, Ron and I visited Brookgreen Gardens' special event 'Summer Light: Art by Night". It was the perfect summer evening to view the site in a new light!

The week also included eating out a few times, putt-putt, finding star fish, walking on the beach at night, catching frogs and fish, and digging to China!

On a few occasions, time stood still. (like for the obligatory end of the week photos!)

The week zoomed by, and it was time to say good-bye...... until the next time!
