August 8, 2020 #6 West Virginia~Hanging Rock Raptor Observatory

Wild and Wonderful West Virginia.
Today we took a daytrip.
A Saturday extravaganza.
Our destination was the HANGING ROCK RAPTOR OBSERVATORY located in Waiteville, West Virginia.
Getting there were lovely views of buffalos, country roads, and corn fields, filled with sunshine, fresh air, and nature at its finest.

And a few hundred motorcycles coming our way!😅

The 'one-mile' hike from the Hanging Rock parking area takes you to the raptor observatory, sitting high atop Peters Mountain on the Eastern Continental Divide! Walking was not difficult, but it was steeper and somewhat rockier than we expected.

The 360 degree view at the top, however, was worth the climb!

OH OH OH........... this view 💓💓💓

I think we could stay here for a few days! ☝☝☝
Check out the utube video below!
Solitude...........
Almost Heaven.........
PS........ The number in the blog post title is the # of trips that we have made to West Virginia. Numbers 1-5 were taken in October 2018. Here are 2 of those:
Oct 17, 2018 Blackwater Falls State Park
Oct 18, 2018 Dolly Sods
