Dec 11, 2023 Wreaths Across America Part 1

 

BRRRRRR......... Thank you to the brave members (and a few hubbies and brother) for venturing out early this morning in the wind and cold temperatures. We welcomed the Wreaths Across america '18 wheeler' to the parking lot of the Salem Museum. What and awesome site to see! Thirteen boxes were unloaded (a total of 156 wreaths).

These wreaths are being stored at the Salem Museum. Thank you to Fran Ferguson, Executive Director of the Salem Museum and Historical Society, for aiding the Fort Lewis Chapter NSDAR with storage space, as well as providing the perfect place for Saturday's 1st-time ceremony for this chapter(Fort Lewis)

. What an honor to be a part of the significant ceremony, honoring our veterans. 

Wreaths were unpacked on the 14th, fluffed, assembled, and were ready to place for the FAA ceremony on Dec 16th.
